A research and field intelligence tool for Victorian gold prospectors, built on geological data, historical records, field clues, and practical safety tools.
⛏ Founding member access — $9.99/mo, 14-day free trial.
We don't sell or share your personal information, location history, or finds with third parties. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
AI Prospector brings historical nugget records, geological layers, practical field clues, and safety tools into one rugged research companion — built for people who want to understand the ground before they step onto it.
Everything below is available in the app today. Approximate historical layers are clearly marked so you know what is official, interpreted, or still needing review.
Plan your next trip with geological intelligence. Study the historical data, read the geology, and understand the legal access before you leave the house.
When you're standing in the paddock, Field View shows only what matters right now — your location, nearby data, AI advice, and safety tools.
For visitors, history lovers, families, and curious locals who want to understand Victoria's gold story without planning a detecting trip.
Choose a Victorian goldfield region or search a town, creek, or locality. The map loads historical records, geology, and prospectivity layers for your area.
Toggle geology, historical records, register nugget markers, AI zones, mine sites, and tenements. Every layer is labelled with a data confidence rating.
The AI Field Advisor reasons across historical activity, terrain, geology, legal access, equipment, and field decision rules. Free use is limited so the service stays available.
Switch to Field View. Use coordinates, Safety Mode, terrain clues, and nearby records before you swing the coil.
These are the core tools available in the platform today. Approximate historical layers are clearly marked.
Ask geological and field questions and receive structured reasoning across historical activity, terrain, geology, legal access, equipment, and field decision rules. Free use is limited; trial and Pro use include fair-use protections so the service stays available.
A searchable 1,310-row Victorian Nugget Register, 961 mapped approximate register markers, 745+ historical Memoir records, curated Ballarat big-nugget records, and 51 GSV verified Wedderburn sites. Approximate records are loaded through the protected map API and shown with confidence labels and radius circles where supplied.
The 1:250,000 Surface Geology of Victoria served live from Geological Survey of Victoria government servers. Formation types, fault systems, granite contacts — the same data professional geologists use.
Log your own finds and view community-style report layers with privacy controls — fuzzy location, area name only, or approximate pin. User-submitted data is clearly labelled separately from official and historical sources.
SOS with Triple Zero shortcut, GPS coordinates, emergency SMS with location link, check-in timer with missed-check-in alerts, vehicle base location, breadcrumb trail, and an I'm Lost guide. Always free, always available.
Every data layer carries a clear confidence label. You should always know whether you're looking at verified government records, historical approximations, AI interpretation, or community reports.
| Layer | Source | Confidence | What this means |
|---|---|---|---|
| GSV Verified Nuggets ★ | Geological Survey of Victoria shapefile | ✅ Official | 51 records from GSV Wedderburn district shapefile. Accurate GPS coordinates. Most reliable location data in the platform. |
| Victorian Nugget Register 📚 | Imported historical nugget register joined to supplied geocode lookup | 📜 Approximate | 1,310 records searchable in the app. 961 have supplied lookup coordinates and show as approximate yellow markers with radius circles. 349 remain in Needs Geocoding Review and are not mapped. |
| Historical Nugget Records 📜 | E.J. Dunn, GSV Memoir No.12, 1912 plus curated additions | 📜 Approximate | Historical records geocoded from place names and localities. Locations approximate. Historical records do not guarantee future finds at these locations. |
| GSV Geology · Mine Sites | Geological Survey of Victoria (live WMS) | 📡 Live Govt Data | Served directly from Victorian Government servers in real time. As current as the GSV database. |
| AI Prospectivity Zones ✦ | AI Field Advisor — geological interpretation | ✦ AI Interpretation | AI-generated interpretation of geological data. Not confirmed gold. Shown with dashed markers to clearly distinguish from recorded data. Does not represent a geological survey. |
| Community Reported Finds 🔥 | User-submitted via the platform | 👤 Unverified | Real users, self-reported finds, approximate location by design. Interesting as a trend signal. Not independently verified or validated. |
Safety Mode is always free and now sits in the map tools where it stays easy to reach without covering the terrain panel. It will never sit behind a paywall.
Shortcut to Triple Zero (000) plus pre-filled SMS to your emergency contact with GPS coordinates and a map link.
Set a 1-4 hour check-in interval. The app alerts loudly on a missed check-in. Your contact knows when to act.
Save your vehicle location before heading out. One tap shows compass bearing and distance back to your car.
Research and Field views show live coordinates. If you're disoriented, the I Am Lost guide gives calm steps and helps share your location.
Enter your name and email. We'll send an AIP access code you can enter in the map to unlock your trial.
Check your inbox for your AIP code. Then open the map, click Start free trial, and enter the same email plus code to start your 14-day Pro trial.
Clear answers for prospectors before they trust the map, the AI, or the community finds tools.
Every point on the map is tied to a specific geocoded source — historical nugget records, GSV geological layers, and mapped goldfield boundaries. Where a historical record is approximate, the app labels it as approximate instead of pretending it is an exact GPS find.
No. We don't sell or distribute your location data or finds to third parties. Ever.
No — finds sharing is off by default. If you turn it on, your exact location is fuzzed before anything is shown publicly. Nobody gets your precise coordinates from your find pin.
No. GPS is only active when you're using it in Field View or Safety Mode. It is not silently logging your movements while the app is idle or closed.
Not for research. Plan at home, browse the map, read the history, mark your spots, then save or print what you need before heading out — Pro adds GPX export to your Garmin. GPS can work on-site for navigation, but you should always prepare for low-signal areas.
It cross-references historical records, geology, past finds, and field clues, then gives you a plain-language research summary. It speeds up research; it does not replace your judgement, safety checks, or legal access checks. When the records don't support an answer, it says so rather than guessing.
You keep the Free plan forever — full map, geology layers, 3 AI questions a day, and Safety Mode. You only lose the Pro extras: the full nugget register, GPX export, and trip reports. No card is taken during the trial, so nothing gets charged automatically.
Yes, in two clicks from your account — no emails, no phone calls. You keep Pro until the end of your paid period. Founding pricing is reserved while your subscription stays active.
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — the same processor used by millions of businesses worldwide. Your card details never touch our servers.
No sales team, no venture capital, no office — one prospector-developer and fair pricing. Founding members lock in $9.99/month permanently as the app grows.
